The Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) was founded in 2002 following the deregistration of the Sarawak National Party (SNAP). As a key component of the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) coalition, we advocate for Sarawak regionalism and centre-right conservatism, ensuring our state's unique identity is preserved within Malaysia.
Formerly known as the Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party (SPDP), we rebranded in 2017 to expand our reach. In 2024, following the dissolution of Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB), its former leaders and members were welcomed into PDP en bloc, further strengthening the Party’s representation and its commitment to uniting Sarawakians for a stronger future.
